English Extempore Competition

“Creativity and presence of mind are skills that take us a long way.” This was aptly demonstrated during the English Extempore Competition held on 16th June 2025 at Holy Cross Academy. The event served as a vibrant platform for students to showcase their spontaneity, confidence, and creative thinking. Participants impressed the audience and judges alike with their ability to think on their feet, speak with clarity, and express their ideas powerfully on a wide range of thought-provoking topics. The competition not only brought out the best in public speaking but also nurtured essential life skills such as communication and self-assurance. The winners in the senior category were Ethan Rebello (1st), Shania Correia (2nd), and Amanda (3rd), while in the junior category, the accolades went to Lyvia Sequeira (1st), Arlene D’Souza (2nd), and Nathan Castellino (3rd). The event was truly a memorable and enriching experience for all involved.
