1st Annual Day Concert – “In the Beginning…”
On 15th December 2023, Holy Cross Academy celebrated its historic 1st Annual Day. The theme, “In the Beginning,” showcased the school’s origins and achievements, providing a platform where every single student had the opportunity to shine on stage.

3rd Annual Sports Day 2025 – A Grand Celebration
On 18th December 2025, Holy Cross Academy held its 3rd Annual Sports Day with immense energy. The event was a vibrant display of athleticism and sportsman spirit, reflecting the school’s commitment to fitness, talent, and unity.

Annual Sports Day 2024 – Highlights
Holy Cross Academy celebrated its Annual Sports Day on 18th January 2025, marking a memorable milestone for the 2024–25 academic year. The event was a vibrant celebration of team spirit, resilience, and sportsmanship.
Our students showcased exceptional discipline and competitive spirit across various athletic events. From thrilling races to well-coordinated team challenges, every performance reflected a deep commitment to excellence and the school’s vision of holistic development.
We extend our gratitude to the dedicated staff and supportive parents whose encouragement made this programme a grand success, reinforcing the vital importance of physical fitness and teamwork.




First Sports Day of Holy Cross Academy – 2024
On 19th January 2024, Holy Cross Academy celebrated its first-ever Sports Day, marking a historic milestone. The event reflected our commitment to physical fitness, teamwork, and holistic development.
The day began with a symbolic release of house-coloured and white balloons by Principal Ms. Arlene Gomes, Fr. Ryan Alex, and Fr. Norbert Dsouza, signifying unity and aspiration.
Students displayed great energy and sportsmanship across various track and field events. This grand success laid a strong foundation for a vibrant sporting culture that we will cherish for years to come.







A Joyous Christmas Fête at Holy Cross Academy
The Holy Cross Academy campus was transformed into a festive hub as students, parents, and teachers gathered for our much-awaited Christmas Fête. Organised by our dedicated PTA parents, the event was a beautiful display of community spirit and holiday joy.

From creative mehndi and hair styling stalls to exciting games and delicious food, there was something for everyone. A major highlight was the Carol Singing Competition, where Crimson House secured a well-deserved first place.
The Fête was a grand success, strengthening the bonds within our school family and concluding the term on a truly joyful note.





Christmas Fête 2024 – A Celebration of Community
On 20th December 2024, Holy Cross Academy organised its first-ever Christmas Fête. The campus was transformed into a hub of warmth and joy, bringing students, parents, and staff together to celebrate the festive season in a spirit of togetherness.

The day featured exciting telegames, a bouncy castle, and a talent-filled Open Mic segment. Creative DIY stalls showcasing handcrafted soaps and candles highlighted the enterprise of our community, while traditional Carol Singing and a visit from Santa Claus added to the holiday magic.
The celebration concluded with a vibrant community dance session, marking a successful initiative that emphasized collaboration, creativity, and shared enjoyment.










Manager’s Day & Birthday Celebration – Fr. Barthol Machado
Holy Cross Academy joyfully celebrated Manager’s Day and the birthday of our esteemed Manager, Fr. Barthol Machado. The day began with the lighting of the lamp, followed by heartfelt prayer songs and a delightful performance by our pre-primary students.
A significant highlight was the inauguration of the school newspaper (NIE) by Fr. Barthol, escorted by Principal Ms. Arlene Gomes. Our talented students further enriched the tribute with traditional dances, poem recitations, and inspiring speeches.
Fr. Barthol shared words of wisdom that inspired the community toward faith and unity. The program concluded with a celebratory cake cutting and a vote of thanks, marking a heartfelt tribute organized by the entire staff.








Celebrating the Birthday of Our Respected Principal Ma’am
On 23rd February 2026, our school community came together to celebrate the birthday of our esteemed Principal. A remarkable leader, her vision and unwavering commitment continue to inspire excellence, discipline, and unity across our institution.
Teachers, staff, and students expressed their heartfelt gratitude through a series of memorable performances. The children added immense joy to the day with delightful songs, dances, and a creative skit depicting a “journey through the years,” reflecting the deep respect they hold for their beloved Principal.
Filled with warm wishes and smiles, the celebration was a beautiful tribute to a leader who nurtures with care and leads with integrity. We are truly blessed to have a guide who inspires us to strive for excellence every day.















Bishop’s Visit – A New Chapter for Holy Cross Academy
On September 14th, 2024, Holy Cross Academy, Kurla, marked a sacred milestone as the school was blessed by His Lordship Bishop Dominic Savio. This momentous visit set the foundation for an institution dedicated to nurturing both character and academic excellence.
The day commenced with the blessing of the school premises, followed by a solemn Eucharistic celebration at Holy Cross Church. The ceremony was enriched by the soulful hymns of our school choir and the active participation of our students in the liturgy.

Ruby Anniversary of Priestly Ordination – Fr. Barthol Machado
Holy Cross Academy, Kurla, proudly celebrated the Ruby Anniversary of the Priestly Ordination of our magnificent Manager, Fr. Barthol Machado. This landmark milestone marks forty years of dedicated service and spiritual leadership.
He was warmly felicitated by our dearest Principal, Ms. Arlene Gomes, in the presence of students and staff. Fr. Barthol shared his rich experiences over the decades, reflecting on how the blessings of the Lord continue to inspire him to do good for everyone in the community.
We express our deepest gratitude for his guidance and wish him many more fruitful years of service ahead in the Lord’s vineyard.
