EARTH DAY CELEBRATION 2026 |GRADE 3-10|

Holy Cross Academy, Kurla presents Earth Day Celebration – 22nd April 2026

The Earth is what we all have in common.” – Wendell Berry

Earth Day at Holy Cross Academy, Kurla, was celebrated with great enthusiasm, awareness, and a deep sense of responsibility towards our planet. The day served as a reminder that protecting the Earth is not just a duty, but a necessity for our survival and the well-being of future generations.

Our students actively engaged with parishioners, creating meaningful conversations about the importance of caring for the environment. They distributed plants as symbols of hope and sustainability, while also sharing practical and thoughtful tips on how each individual can contribute to saving the Earth in their daily lives. This interaction helped bridge generations and spread awareness within the community.

Following this, students reflected on their experiences, sharing how these interactions opened their minds to new ideas and simple yet impactful ways to protect the environment. It was a moment of learning, growth, and inspiration for all.

Adding a hands-on element to the celebration, students proudly planted household plants such as tomatoes, potatoes, chillies, onions, and curry leaves, many of which they had nurtured at home. This activity not only encouraged self-sufficiency but also strengthened their connection with nature.

Earth Day reminds us that even the smallest actions can create a big impact. As members of Holy Cross Academy, we are called to be responsible stewards of our environment, to rise as HCA’s Green Warriors. Let us pledge to protect our planet, conserve its resources, and work together to build a greener, cleaner, and healthier world for all.
